Electric transportation grant opportunities

Washington communities grant funding is available to nonresidential customers in Washington. Funding awards can reduce the costs associated with promoting or deploying electric transportation technology and projects. The grants are designed to support projects that advance transportation electrification in named communities.

Applications will be accepted through June 30, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Commercial EV charging equipment must be on PacifiCorp's approved list. Some chargers also require software (see "Network - Commercial" section).

Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Repair support grants are designed to offset the costs of repairing, improving, and providing for sustained maintenance of transportation electrification projects previously funded by Pacific Power’s Infrastructure Charging Pilot awards issued between 2018 and 2020 in Washington. EVSE Repair Support grant applications will be considered for sites that successfully purchased and installed EVSE during the pilot program. Applicants must demonstrate a current need to repair, maintain or improve the EVSE that cannot be fulfilled through other sources of available funding.

Microgrants are available for grant writing support for nonresidential customers to apply for EV-related grants to support Pacific Power customers. Applicants for grant writing support should review the eligibility requirements, definitions, and terms and conditions before applying. The applicant will need to share plans about the project, describe how the project will benefit Pacific Power customers, and demonstrate a need for grant writing support.

Applications are accepted continuously until funds are exhausted or otherwise noted. Support may reimburse costs associated with internal or external support to write and develop a grant proposal to an entity other than Pacific Power. Up to 75% of the total award may be issued in advance. In order to receive the final grant writing support payment, a copy of the completed intended grant application must be sent to Pacific Power.
